Each month, we gather to hear from a guest speaker and to engage in dialogue about the issues facing Nevada women and families.
This month, we will be hearing from Elisa Cafferata, longtime advocate for women and a number of important causes, on the NV Commission for Women and it’s work to create a report with a limited focus on our priorities of: employment & earnings, poverty and opportunity.
The Commission will be hosting two public workshops (one in Reno and one in Vegas) to gather input for the report. Specifically they will focus on answering the question: “What do women need to successfully join the workforce and take care of their families?” Individuals and organizations are encouraged to attend and/or provide written public comment.
This information will be used to create a public education document to be used with legislators and in committees. Join us to learn more.
If you will be paying by cash or check at the event, RSVP by emailing NWLluncheon@nevadawomenslobby.org
