How do we raise our national ranking for education?
Join us next Tuesday, August 6, to hear from Natha Anderson, President of the Washoe Education Association, about the current state of education in Nevada and what we need to do to improve our national ranking.
Natha grew up surrounded by books and politics. Coming from a family of educators, she learned the importance of politics in education and community involvement at a young age. She has been a consistent voice at the legislature, lobbying for public education for two decades. In 2016, Natha was a key force in helping to pass WC-1 to invest in Washoe’s school facilities by working with community, business and labor leaders in Northern Nevada.
We will gather for lunch and discussion on Tuesday, August 6, at The Depot in Reno at 11:30 am and will conclude by 1 pm. To attend, please purchase your ticket online. We hope to see you there!
