June Lunch & Learn: AAUW Is Coming In Full Force

What does it take to build real equity in Nevada? Find out, on your lunch break from home. Join us on Tuesday, June 2, at Noon for a conversation with one of the most powerful women’s advocacy organizations in the country.

We’re thrilled to welcome the American Association of University Women, coming in full force. Dr. Jennifer Verive, Dr. Janet Usinger, Dr. Evelyn Thompson-Hilbert, Joanne Walen, and Dr. Angel Ball will give us an inside look at AAUW’s history in Nevada, their top priorities for the 2027 Legislative Session, and how NWL members can get involved — including their Two Minute Activist online tool, diverse scholarship opportunities, and groundbreaking legislation AAUW Reno is currently drafting to require background checks on candidates for public office.
